Our Beliefs

We believe...

God is the supreme authority, creator of all that exists, known and unknown, infinite in knowledge and power, self-existent, eternally three persons in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Humanity is solely God's creation. Humanity was created a total living being, without flaw, moral, in the image of God, with intellect, emotion, and free will, for the purpose of worshipping, fellowshipping, and bringing glory to God. Humanity, however, transgressed God's commands and thereby sinned. Now, having sinned against God with no means within to atone and fully regain the previous relationship, humanity became eternally separated from the Holy and Righteous God.

The Bible is God's Word, resulting from God's superintending its entire composition both verbal and plenary in its original language. It is God's message to humanity with regard to His purpose, plan, and priorities.

Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, one Person in two natures, sent into the world to be the Substitute and Redeemer for man's sin, the Reconciler, the Satisfaction, and the Expiator unto God the Father. He was conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was crucified and died for the sins of humanity. He was buried in a tomb, but rose bodily after three days. He showed Himself alive to His disciples for many days, then ascended into heaven, and now intercedes on behalf of his Church as High Priest and Advocate.

Holy Spirit is equal in deity and person with the Father and the Son. He moved upon and guided human authors to write God's Word. He makes people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He performs the miracle of new birth and resides in every person upon their trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior. He unites all believers into the Body of Christ, providing each of them with power for service, the ability to understand spiritual truths, and comfort in life’s trials.

Salvation is God's free gift, offered to all of people, which must be accepted. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ alone can we be forgiven for our sin, overcome our alienation from God and be saved from God’s judgment. The instant we turn to Jesus Christ in faith, accepting God's gift, salvation can never be lost or taken away. At salvation, we are declared positionally righteous before God because of our identification with Jesus Christ.
